Hi, I am Natalie, the mama to three boys and the founder of SafeStarts. I started my nursing career in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals. While working in the NICU I was certified as an American Heart Association CPR instructor, preparing NICU families to take their babies home safely. After having three babies of my own, I transitioned over to working as a clinical pediatric allergy nurse and conducting clinical research at a leading University. I bring a Master's level education and over a decade of experience in pediatric healthcare and safety education. Both in the NICU and in the allergy office I have partnered closely with families during their most vulnerable moments.
Throughout my career I saw how overwhelming it can be for parents to navigate topics like emergency preparedness and allergen introduction- especially when the guidance is inconsistent, rushed or difficult to access. I started SafeStarts as a way to bring my knowledge to the community and bridge that gap. My goal is to to provide evidence-based education and deliver personalized, compassionate support to every family. My mission is to help parents and caregivers feel informed, empowered and confident as they care for their little ones from the very beginning.
